KOENIGSEGG CCXR EDITION
The Koenigsegg CCX Edition runs on regular petrol and produces 888 bhp, whilst the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition has been modified as a bioflexfuel car, and can run on E85, E100, regular 98 octane petrol (Europe) or a mixture of the three. When run solely on petrol, the engine produces 888 bhp, but the higher octane E85 fuel makes higher compression, boost pressure and increased spark advance possible, enabling the engine to deliver a staggering 1018 bhp.

For the first time we can offer paddle-shift as an option for the Edition cars. In fact all manual Koenigsegg cars can now be altered to paddle-shift at a later stage, if so desired by the customer. Production of the cars will be strictly limited: just 14 of the Koenigsegg CCX Edition and 6 of the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition will be made.

AUDI Q7 W12, 6.0
The Audi R10 rewrote the record books on the racetrack this year when the V-12 diesel race car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This result apparently so excited Audi that it has decided to build a V-12 diesel passenger vehicle.

The Q7 V-12 TDI just made its debut at the 2007 Detroit show in January, but we already got an early drive in a prototype of the world's first V-12 diesel engine. It's set to shock the sports-car fraternity even more than did the Cayenne Turbo, thanks to 493 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.

The twin-turbocharged 5.9-liter V-12 engine is influenced by the R10 race car, but it shares its bore and stroke with Audi's current V-6 and V-8 diesels. Weighing 728 pounds, the V-12 has an iron-block 60-degree cylinder-bank angle instead of the racer's 90-degree aluminum block. Bosch supplies the common-rail injection system, which pumps up to 29,000 psi of pressure through 12 piezoinjectors. Audi boss Martin Winterkorn has confirmed that the engine will have a urea injection system (similar to Mercedes' AdBlue technology) when introduced to the U.S. in 2008.

If you turn off the stability system, hard acceleration in first and second gears paints black rubber stripes down the highway despite the best efforts of the Quattro system to make the thing behave. Audi claims this SUV will rip from 0 to 62 mph in 5.5 seconds, with top speed governed at 155 mph. Winterkorn is pleased with the fuel consumption: The Q7 V-12 TDI gets 20 mpg on the European combined cycle.

Don't think, however, that this engine turns the Q7 into a sports car. In fast corners and under heavy braking, the monster diesel shows the limits of a high center of gravity and so much weight.

MERCEDES F700 CONCEPT CAR
Pulsed laser sensors scan the road surface up to 7m in front of the car, detecting bumps and feeding the information back to the F700?s Active Body Control suspension. As a bump approaches, ABC uses its hydraulics to raise the body slightly, then releases the hydraulic pressure to allow free wheel movement. In effect, it lengthens and softens the springs as a bump approaches, to provide what Mercedes likes to call a ?flying carpet? ride.

POSEIDON 180 YACHT
From the Giancarlo Zema Design Group (the same folks that brought us the Jellyfish 45) comes this exciting yacht, the Poseidon 180 being developed by Bugatti Yachts. The 180-foot yacht has floating decks under a giant glass dome. It has eight staterooms that offer panoramic ocean views. The yacht uses Bugatti Marine engines that can hit 40 knots.

The price is $50 million and it looks to be just a design at this point, still, what a design it is. Check out the pictures after the jump for more looks at this unique vessel.

THE 8 MILLION DOLLAR MAYBACH
The engineers at Mercedez-Maybach have built a truly amazing supercar. The Maybach Exelero is a one-of-a kind, handbuilt, 700 horsepower monster. The Exelero was originally commission by the Fulga Tire Company, who wanted to build a car of vast size and capability to prove they could make extra large low profile tires that could carry 6000 lbs and go 200 mph. The final cost? Eight million dollars. No other sports car in the world has tires this large.

What kind of vast size are we talking about? This car is 19 feet long, has 23 inch wheels and a gas mileage of 2.5 mpg at full throttle. Maybach insists that another Exelero will never be built. However, the worldwide reaction to the car has been so strong that Mercedes execs admitted they are considering a Maybach two-seater, although officially ?there are no immediate plans.?

MERCEDES NEW E-CLASS 2009
Mercedes is going to unveil a completely new E-Class in 2009 code-named W212. The design will be inspired from the new C-Class, S-Class and a few cues from the CLS-Class. It will come as a main competitor for BMW 5-Series and the Audi A6. The car will be unveiled at 2009 Geneva Motor Show.

The basic power plant will consist of four-cylinder engines with the horsepower rating starting at 175 bhp. The V6 and V8 engine will also be available delivering from 136 hp to 514 hp. The W212 will be electronically limited to 155 mph and will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 6.5 seconds. An E63 AMG model will be also unveiled powered by a normally aspirated, 500-plus-bhp 6.3-litre V8 engine. All the models will come standard with six-speed manual transmission and the 7-speed automatic will come as an option.

AUDI R ZERO CONCEPT
The initial purpose for the elaboration of this concept was to create a machine with demonic sensations by avoiding the immoderation and the inconveniences that we know of the current supercars, mainly in term of pollution. A concept with the image of a muscular sports car, the Audi TT, and with performance equivalent to that of the Bugatti Veyron, the whole works in harmony with our environment and must join the perspective of 2010.

Aside from the production of the batteries themselves, this car is respectful of the environment mainly due to its electric motorization. The system of electric motorization transmits the fabulous power and reactivity of the engine. It is in harmony with the ecological challenge and meets the needs of the present without compromising the capacity to satisfy the needs of the future generations.

The R-Zero is an exceptional supercar benefiting from an outstanding architecture. The electric motorization allows an original hierarchical organization of the streams of air in order to to control the behavior of the airflow around and inside the car. The structure of the aerodynamic flow optimizes cooling of the motor and the brakes, as well as generating steady aerodynamic support, all of which is synonymous for performance.

The "Back single frame" is not a free aesthetic subtlety nor deprived of functionality ? An airstream connecting the 2 single frames (back and front) is present inside in the car : This structural column thus traverses the total length of the machine. Technique drove the design and the technical constraints were not subject to stylistic demands that, aside from the "Back single frame", we have created a product which forms part of the lineage of explosive motor vehicles. And in the end, we have an electric motor car which does not look like an electric car.

FISKER LATIGO CS V10
Henrik Fisker knows a thing or two about designing refined cars. With Aston Martin's acclaimed DB9 under his belt, the Dane struck out for California and founded Fisker Coachbuild. When we last checked in for wallpaper 93, the company had just unveiled its first designs, the Tramonto convertible and the Latigo coupe.

Fisker's sleek bodywork sits atop tried and tested mechanicals, allowing the company to make bespoke vehicles with outstanding performance and an enviable rarity factor. The very first production Fisker Latigo CS V10 was unveiled at last week's 2007 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance, the first of just 150 cars to be made.

The elegant sporting grand tourer ups the power quota significantly - it's based on BMW's much-lauded M6 supercar - with a V10 putting out well over 500 horsepower. Despite this performance potential, the emphasis is placed on grace and style, with hand-built bodywork and a highly crafted interior enveloping the discerning owner in a truly exclusive environment.

As even the most upscale car makers up their production quotas into the thousands, you can be sure that Fiskers will remain automotive rarities.
